A New Approach
One Earth Farms has developed an alternative approach to agribusiness that integrates data management, business support, partnerships, geographic diversity, agronomic stewardship and sustainable practices.

Breaking New Ground and Building Relationships
This new approach to agriculture is centered around five core elements:
- Business – Building on solid business principles
- Land – Developing caring stewards of the lands
- People – Embracing multiculturalism
- Food – Placing attention on food quality, food source and food health
- Partners – Offering mutual benefits
In addition, many aspects of One Earth Farms Corp. set it apart from existing agricultural development enterprises.
Professional management
OEF is continuously building a team of professionals that is best in class. Continuous training is designed to ensure that the OEF team will provide the highest level of competencies to the business of farming.

Economics
Focus on business decisions: The One Earth Farms strategies for cropping rotations and cattle breeding programs are initiated at the point of consumptive demand. Decision-making then considers profit margins, and agronomic restrictions such as disease and crop yield management, along with cattle genetics. This provides for a strict regime of positive margin criteria that will dictate the yearly production plans. While it’s always tempting to grow what we know best and stick with agronomic successes of the past, One Earth Farms recognizes the importance of continuously adjusting its production to meet consumer demand. This approach builds more consistent and enhanced long-term returns to our shareholders.
Size: Unique partnership opportunities exist, as well as unique market opportunities such as direct-to-end user.
Predictable profit margins: One Earth Farms is currently establishing key downstream relationships with processors of both grains and livestock as well as end-use retailers of shelf-ready products. This approach provides OEF with the opportunity to take another step back from traditional pricing into volatile commodity markets and position sales into a longer-term pricing arrangement with downstream consumers. The end result of this exercise is intended to transform farming from a volatile, unpredictable, commodity-based business into a predictable, margin-based business.
Agronomics
Agronomy is matched with profitability: One Earth Farms, like all other producers of primary agricultural commodities, faces the constant challenge of being confined to a narrow window of products that can be produced from existing resources, which is further compounded by Western Canada’s short growing seasons. OEF’s model will continuously source innovative agronomic solutions to meet these traditional challenges head on.
Geographic diversity: Spreads out risk, increases diversity of operations both in locations and in what can be grown, and spreads out the market area.
Land Use: A focus on best land use and agronomic practices means crop protection products and fertilizers are used at the best rates to generate positive returns while improving the long-term productivity of the land so that fewer inputs are required.
Land Stewardship: Best land use and agronomic stewardship mean best long-term productivity of the land. Also, having the technologies and equipment to track the performance of new crops results in maximum production from each acre of land. This type of approach allows a static, if not slightly decreasing, number of productive acres to feed an expanding population.
Environmental Sustainability
Our philosophy is straightforward but significant:
- We are dedicated to sustainability, land stewardship and working with communities.
- Our training programs reinforce sustainable agricultural practices.
- We employ trained equipment operators who are up to date on sustainable practices.
- Our focus on training ensures employees apply the most current knowledge available to the equipment and technologies they use.
