Operations
Through a series of strategic relationships with major suppliers, One Earth Farms employs the latest in precision farming and tracking technology for all of its operations, from seeding to harvesting.

Farming with Technology
A revolution is occurring in crop production, thanks to the availability of computers, electronic monitoring systems, software and satellites. Precision agriculture, variable-rate technology and real-time information gathering are becoming familiar components of agricultural operations.
One Earth Farms’ methodology seeks to integrate a wide range of farming and industry data, including equipment monitoring information from sprayers, tractors, seeders, and combines as well as cattle production and feed information, GIS land information, crop health information from UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) surveys, real-time weather and market information, and crop storage facilities information—all combined with fiscal information systems.
Equipment fleets are selected to ensure adaptability to varied environments. OEF employs Genestar’s technology to facilitate the natural selection of superior genetics within its cattle operations. GPS tracking enables OEF to manage the logistics and inventory management of its large fleets of machinery and equipment. This real-time tracking facilitates better decision making while providing the security of knowing where our assets are located at any point in time.
Thinking on a Global Scale
One Earth Farms has consciously chosen to focus on agribusiness within Canada. Often referred to as the “bread basket” of Canada, the Prairies were an obvious geographical starting point. But we believe that there are great opportunities in agriculture in many parts of the world. Once we have refined the ways in which we operate within Canada, One Earth Farms will consider expanding to agricultural operations in the United States and other parts of the world.
Grain
The best use of land means determining the best long-term treatment and productivity for that land. Employing best practices in agriculture and the latest in farming technologies, One Earth Farms makes agronomic stewardship accessible to communities so they can build a sustainable future for themselves.
Cattle
One Earth Farms seeks to develop a consistently premium cattle herd through selective breeding, a scientific process of breeding stock for desirable traits such as strong mothering abilities, good vitality, and premium cutting traits. The inclusion of genetic/DNA testing of breeding stock accelerates the attainment of highly desirable traits.
OEF values animal welfare as its main priority in its animal husbandry practices.
